  • Hard time finding correct paint for 2000 200 hp Saltwater series

    cant seem to find anything except "bluish gray" paint. My motor is gray,def not blue gray.Ordered paint based on my serial/model # and it is close but not righjt.it is blueish...My motor is gray/granite.anyone know how I can conquer this ???? Charlie

    What is the model of the motor? What part of the motor is to be painted?

      paint the whole thing so the color matches, if it bothers you that much.

      all paint fades after so many years in the sun

        its an SX200 model.The back of the motor cover and the back of the leg needs paint.Def dont want to pain whole motor since 85% of the paint is excellent

            I am not sure why, after ordering your paint, it did not match. Maybe someone repainted your engine(?)

            FYI, in case you are not aware, here is how Yamaha codes their paint. It helped me when I was looking for my paint.

            I found this during a Google search.

            "Yamaha uses coding to signify their paint colors on different parts of their outboard motors. These paint codes are referenced in the chart below,
            but can often be found in the last two digits of the part number of certain items, for example a lower unit:"
