Wire identification 1999 SX250TXRX

There is a yellow/wht wire located on one of the the connector at the bottom of the CDI unit. It simply connected between two terminals and has a barrel connector. Almost as if it's just a jumper wire. Is this some type of test port? Just curious as to it's function and purpose.
