  • Yamaha command link square gauge not reading RPM

    I am stumped here.
    I have twin F250 Yamahas.
    I just turned on the engines and the Starboard engine is reading "0" for Rpms, but when I turn port engine on it reads the port engine RPM's on both gauges.
    I think the Starboard engine is not being read by the gauge as it appears the hour meter is the same as port also.
    Is there a quick check to see what might be the problem?

    Thanks

    You need to assign the gauge to an engine or visa versa, anyway if you still have your owners manual it will go thru the process on pg 19 and pg 21. Port is #1 strb is #2. here is what pg 21 says;;
    engine start switch to ON
    press set for 10 seconds "engine no reset will display for 1 sec
    turn engine switch to off
    reset will take place in about 10-15 sec.
    turn engine start switches to on in order from port to strb

    good luck

      Thank you.
      I will try it right now to see if that fixes the problem.
