  • throttles uneven

I recently changed my impellers on my Yamaha 250hp 4-strokes. After I got the boat back on the water, I noticed my throttles aren't even any more. To have the same rpms, the starboard throttle is about an inch and a half forward of the port throttle. Is there a way to correct this without taking the lower unit off again? If so, then how? If I I have to take off the lower unit, how do I get them lined back up even again? Thanks!

Removing a lower unit will hae no affect whatsoever on the position of the throttles or throttle handles.

The water pumps and your throttle cables have nothing to do with each other. Some other issue caused the problem.
