Yamaha Speedometer wiring

I would like to know what purpose of each wire to aid in connecting a yamaha speedometer. Two of the leads are used for the gas tank sending unit. What are the purpose of the red, yellow, blue and black. The normal convetion is red-+12V power, Black- GND, blue- instrument light +12v, yelloow???. any help would be appreciated! Thanks Mark

Yellow is hot with ignition ON wiring. Red is hot anytime your battery switch is ON. All Yamaha harnesses are color coded to match up with Yamaha gauges.
