Paging Mr. Rodbolt

Motor is a V200TLRX. The owners is wanting to know if the gray wires that are presently disconnected should be connected. I don't know what to tell him. The SM shows one gray wire being connected to the CDI in two places, but it does not show bullet connectors being used. What say yee?

been long enough I would have to go look at my notes.
I think there is a blown up one at the shop.

Diagram below is what is shown in the SM. I have highlighted the two gray wires that are in question.

The other gray wire on the right hand side goes to the trim sender.
