I am thinking about replaceing my Yamaha 20A for somthing a bit biger perhaps a 25HP or 30HP, can any one tell me if the 30hp motor compartment is a lot bigger than the 20hp. also would I see much of a difference with the the 30hp on my 17 foot boat?

As you know I dont have any information for the models sold where you are but the 25 here was a 2 cylinder engine and the 30 was a 3 cylinder engine so it would be a little taller. -
As long as the cover is not much larger the motor site ina well so we have to be carefull about the clearance.Do you recomend any VHF antennas? I have been searching for one on Ebay they are all around the $80 mark I think thats rather a lot for an antenna?Comment

the 25hp is the same dimensions as the 20A...
you can look also for an 30B (was launched in europe as the 2CYL 28A)with compares the same dimensions as the 20A..
