      I use Salt Away and can say W/O doubt, rinsing (no scrubbing) the engine with water alone OR with SA (mixed with water of course), there is a definite difference. You see and FEEL the difference on the surface...

      This is with considerable salt build build up on a (before going out) SUPER CLEAN cowl and rest of the engine...I'd say probably 90% of the salt is gone.


      I know SA does NOT claim to remove salt built up from inside the engine.

      Not related, but once I pull up on the boat lift (engine still running), I hook up the fresh water hose to the Yamaha "power head hose flusher" and flush (while the t-stat is still open,).
      I do run the engine on muffs with SA also.
