  • Parts for 2003 F225

Trying to track down some parts for my F225.

Can someone help with part numbers for a trim sender unit and also I want to fit a water pressure gauge so I'm guessing I'll need a nipple of some sort to screw into motor and a gauge to suit. What water pressures should I expect to see once fitted would also be great to know.

    Cheers

Also is there an easy way to give the combustion chambers a good clean out? While looking through the plug holes the other day I noticed a thick covering of carbon on the piston tops. I can only imagine the rest of it is in similar condition.

Basic parts can be found here:

      2003 F225TXRB Yamaha Outboard Parts

Ring Free can be used to clean the internals of the motor.

The water pressure fitting for the block can be seen here:

      2014 Yamaha MRP Catalog

It will screw into a port at the top of one of the cylinder heads.

      Gauges can be seen here:

      2014 Yamaha MRP Catalog

You will more than likely see zero pressure at idle. At cruise power you will more than likely see pressure in the mid-****s.

So the pressure gauge and rigging arrived today and upon opening the box I noticed the gauge reading about 12psi. Is this right? Is there a way to zero the gauge or is it stuck there?

it should be at zero (at least my WP was)

If its suck may be deffective

12psi I guess should be the Water Pressure at WOT (+/-)

It's not stuck, if I connect it to the tube and add pressure it moves but returns to 12psi. It's almost as if the face has rotated. Just want some guidance before the tools appear and I break something.

Thats a new OEM YAMAHA Water Pressure gauge?

I would return it back to seller and ask for OTHER gauge

Yep brand new from the links posted above, hence my asking the question.

                    12psi canīt be right....

                    My dashboard

Mine is on zero (just is in KG/Cm2 instead of PSI)

This is what it looks like straight out of the box.

Gauge is bad out of the box. Needs to go back to the seller for a replacement.
