I have a high idle (1100-1200 rpm) problem at cold start for my 2003 Yamaha F200. So I tried to connect the YDIS and check the ISC valve in an active test. To my surprise YDIS refuses to run the test, and tells me that either "the engine is stopped, or the shifter is in forward or reverse"? But neither is true, the engine is obviously running, and YDIS also indicates the shifter to be in neutral. So what's going on here?
See short video of the test: https://youtu.be/nlPSAJW32cQ
Edit: After just testing to disconnect the ISC valve the engine idles smoothly at 700 rpm. Connecting it again and it goes up to 1100. Even when connected the idle usually goes down to 700-800 after running the boat, it's only at cold starts it stays at 1100. Have also tried to let it idle for a long time after cold start to see if it eventually goes down, but it doesn't. Only after running the boat it goes down to 700, and stays there for as long as I run it. But next day 1100 rpm at cold start again...
