Engine download

Hi all:
Motor is a 2001 200hp HDPI Z200TXRZ

Can any computer access the ECU for a download of hours or is there special software only available to a Yamaha Tech.

New purchase and I just wanted to see what's there.

i need info for a bahamian friend who works on outboards. he asks me to find him a "sim cable" - - it goes between the yamaha motor and my friends diagnostic board/computer that he already has. is this what andy at sim sells?? pls pass on his contact info. i confess that i am NOT an outboard motor mechanic, just trying to help this guy out.
