Gage issue

I have a 2003 Yamaha 4 stroke 115 and I have a question about a gauge reading. On the speed, trip, time and battery gauge it is flashing 11.4 on the battery mode. I have just put the motor back in service after being layed up for 4+ months. The batteries ane new last year and were re-charged before using them this year. Anyone have any ideas? If I can recall, they have not flashed before and usually show a higher voltage. Thanks

The gauge will flash indicating low voltage. Your batteries could be just fine but maybe the wire and/or connectors are comprised resulting in low voltage at the instrument itself.

Start with the battery cables themselves at both the battery end and the engine end. Check the battery switch connections if such a switch is installed. Maybe disconnect and reconnect the connectors under the dash that are providing power to the gauge. Check the fuse within the gauge harness.
