  • Triducer/multisensor wiring diagram

I purchased a boat where the multisensor/triducer (6Y9-83688-00) wire was cut in the bilge area. I’m attempting to rewire and connect in to my command link bus. I need the wiring diagram for the 6 pin deutch connector on the transducer side. I have all the other required wires from the bus-side deutch connector to the bus... Any ideas?

    thanks in advance,

    lynn

are there actually 6 wires in the sensor harness?
    what colors?

there are 7 wires... outer shield, black, blue, red, white, brown, and green. There’s the issue, there’s 7 wires for a 6 pin connector.

well, shields don't normally get passed through pin/socket connectors

        And the Triducer gets connected to the Command Link bus with only 4 wires;

        black (ground) red (power)
        and blue, and white (data)

        so the question is,
do the brown and the green get 'doubled up' with one of those four other colors -
        and if so, which.

Yamaha has a specific triducer cable that converts the 6 pin to a 4 pin to connect to the bus to the transducer. I’d upload pictures if I could figure it out. The 6 pin connector on the bus side has blue, blue/white, white, black, red, and white/ blue wires. So I’m trying to figure how those wires connect to the transducer wires so can properly install a deutch connector.

          thanks for the help

I would have trouble deciding which wire was blue w/ white
            and which was white w/blue

but otherwise seems a safe bet that
            blue/white and blue are combined
            white/blue and white are combined

I would think a ohm meter would tell if those wires connect together in the harness
