  • F70 Yamaha Thermostat Housing.

I notice that removing the thermostat after running the motor, water is left in the void behind where the thermostat sits. There is a slight shoulder in the housing which does not let this water drain out.
I think that tilting the motor\or up and to the right may help drain the water.

I think that you may be correct. It does not hurt any motor to be tilted fully up, and then turned hard left and hard right, before lowering the motor to the fully down position for storage.

      +1 ^^^.

I know after flushing, I'll tilt all the way up and get a bunch of water come out. Then trim all the way down and get even more water out..

I'll also blow out the speedometer line from the speedo back and get probably a cup of water also come out-Keeps the LU from corroding and clogging up
