tachometer/hour meter for 2017 tiller F30

Has anyone used the Yamaha small rectangular model designed for outboards (4 stroke) or do you suggest getting one of the Yamaha round gauges they install in a console boat?

I have one similar...but not "Yamaha"

It works good...just have it tye wrapped on to the tiller handle.
