F60 2006 1650 hours still original timing belt

Would you replace timing belt on 2006 1650 hours F60? Looks like new, no signs of any deterioration.

The service manual says every 1000 hours you should replace it. It can look fine, but you really have to measure the slack to know for sure. And measuring the slack is not easy to do. So I would just replace it.

I did check the specs as per service manual and it's good less then 14mm .... but should I "fix it" if ain't broken ?

what happens if it jumps time?
does it just stop running properly or does it trash the valves,& pistons, and maybe bend rods when they hit

I had either a 40 or 60 (a member here), I worked on that had the belt jump TWO notches.

That engine didn't have a tensioner, just a taught belt

We just pushed it back up off the cam and pushed it back down after re-alignment... -No issues..

All done, new belt is no and it's slightly tighter then the original, so I'm glad I did it.
Only scary part was pulling the fly wheel, when it separated it popped up suddenly.
Took me about 1 hour.
