  • 2004 Yamaha TLRC HP Increase?

Is there anyway to increase horsepower on this 50HP engine to a 60HP model? Maybe changing the carb jets? Or anything else?

Yes. Given enough time and money it is all possible.

But not something as simple as just changing the jets?

          Of course not.

Just pull the choke half way out, that's about the same as adding bigger jets.

problem is you also need more air with that extra fuel to burn properly

Never ever seen choking add top end power. Can improve lean low end power that's why a choke is used to pull in more fuel in a cold engine.
OP, this question is often asked, however rarely is there a practical solution to gain such an increase in power. So you might see some sarcasm in replies.

Zeno, the man was making a valid point. Adding some choke will add some extra gasoline. Just like using oversized jets will.

But as noted, it takes more than just more gasoline to make more power.

Might as well just leave it as is.
