  • Fuel Level Sensor on Digi Multifunction Speedometer

    Hi,

I’m in need of some help/guidance concerning the fuel level on the Digital Multifunction Speedometer (6Y5-83570-S6-00). Currently we have a 100 litre tank which has no fuel level sensor on it at all, what sensor would be the correct one for this gauge and will this need calibrating due to size of tank?

    Thanks in advance.

There are several types of senders that can be used with a Yamaha speedometer. Float on a stick, ring on a stick, capacitance probe type and ultrasonic.

There is an adjustment on the back of the sender for the type of sender being used e.g. USA, European or Yamaha. This refers to the resistance output of the sender type.

I prefer the capacitance type of probe. You can trim it to fit the exact depth of your tank.

    No calibration needed.
