  • Lowrance NEMA 2000 to F70LA

I recently ordered a Lowrance hds 7 touch and plan to integrate my 2014 F70LA to the Nema 2000 network (without command link). The info available states that to display the trim information on network devices it must be set up by a dealer. What is the explanation for this requirement??

It means that two single pink wires in the engine pan have to be connected to each other. The hardest part of the job is getting the caps off of the damn connectors.

Apparently Yamaha thinks DIY's might not be up to the job. Unfortunately, there is a bit of truth to their thinking. Some folks can't even find the two pink wires let alone remove the caps. It is tremendously demanding.

The two pink wires are sometimes taped to each other with a bit of yellow tape. Maybe the colour blind are having difficulty seeing the colours.

    Yes, that must be it.
