i have a 1999 yamaha 90hp 2 stroke i have a bad grinding issue coming from the motor when engaged into reverse, i had adjusted the cable at the motor all the way out had no changed took the lower unit off and tried adjusting the linkage thinking maybe it was off a tooth when that was adjusted then i didn't have forward gear, now with the lower unit off after adjusting it so much i heard a pop in the lower unit and not it doesn't seem like reverse engages at all
