Hi, I picked up an old 30hp twin with points as a non runner.
Now have it running, but the flywheel has clearly been bent by previous owner. I took it into a machine shop and they declared it scrap.
it has F280P 80W 909 N marked on flywheel.
i can’t find one of these but can find F280P CDI.
clearly my motor with points needs the cam on the flywheel hub to operate the points and I assume Yam stopped making them with cam when they went to CDI.
Anyone know what might fit, or if I need one with identical markings...
interestingly the crank end to which it fits is smaller in diameter to my 689 Mariner from the early 90s that appears to be much the same but with CDI not points.
Any info on these motors gratefully received....
