Does this work as well as a Yamaha brand one?

It is the Yamaha one
(actually I think the software was written by Mitsubishi, who makes the ECMs for Yamaha)

As far as Yamaha is concerned,
it has been 'obsolete' sometime after 2011 when they introduced a newer version
(which AFAIK is available only to dealers)

It may not work at all on some "newer" motors
but fairly certain it will on your 2011 F150.

It’s a copy. Probably from Belarus. Yam probably does not care as it is so old. Post back with any connection problems. It is nice to “read” the ecu.....

No go. My YDIS days may be over. Tried new and old laptops. Changed port settings. Varied on/off versus opening program. Who knows?

Checked the program on the lap top last night.

Eventually found it under "apps and features". It show's, but NO size for the program (un-like the other programs-see below).

Spoke with my computer friend. He believes we'll have to re-load everything.

**He also stated it's possible Windows Updates affected it..*** (I haven't touched/used it)..

(Windows 10 which is darn near always up-dating, and occasionally changing settings)..
