Yahama parts interchange

Due to the fact that yahama made the power head for the mercury 25hp four stroke 2001 model does any body know it mercurys icm will interchange with the yahama that same year? The reason i ask is they look the same in the parts picture and the mercury is a lot less money. Vern

actually, merc built that powerhead.
that's why it has the red stator and all the electronics say Motorola.

I have a 1983 yamaha 25 horse tiller steer. My mid section is broken and I am having a hard time finding the 1983 part. Does anyone know where I can get it or if any other years are interchangeable?

looking for interchange with f6amlh lower unit part number 6au-45300-12-8d.. [22.1 inch long shaft unit].. years..horse power..different numbered lower units that will interchange...new at boats.com is over $900 god bless all
