  • Need help with identifying harness plug on 1990 150HP 2 strokes..

I've got this 1990 150HP 2 strokes, I have the 10 pin harness connected to the 703 control box, I also have the harness for the oil tank. I have the harness going from Control box to gauges as well.

However there is another plug in the motor compartment (greenish color), I am not sure where this goes and no luck with a quick search on the web .

Can someone tell me what this plug is for and if it needs to go to gauges, any idea what the model # is for the harness?

    Thank you.

Here are some pics of an identical plug from a friend's setup..I added a pic of my tach gauge... it might help determine if I need that harness.

Are the connectors on the back of the marine meter round or square?

The harnesses don't carry a model number. They have a part number.

The tachometer has 1 square plug connectors and all the others are round.

I wonder if that is a description of "bullet" connectors

That would be my guess. But... All of the old Marine Meters had two round connectors. Have not ever seen or heard of one with just one round connector. I was suspecting something that looked like this
