  • 6H4 - 21 707 1200 Oil Tank

This part is not available. I can't find it but my motor is OK (YAMAHA 40 HEO 6H4 L 426797) and I don't want to change it.

Is there a compatible part, even i have to do some adaptations....

Many thanks.... Sorry for my poor english, I am french....

Just fill a balloon with oil and blue-tack it to that side of the crankcase. Do this at your own risk as the balloons sometimes pop.

I can look but I cant tell what your 40 is as compared to a US market engine.
maybe one of the posters with access to international stuff can post about what is the US equivalent of your 40.

        Superceded by 6H4-21707-11-00

        6H4-21707-11-00 YAMAHA OIL TANK

Just make sure that the part number you provided is the part for your motor. My records indicate a different part number tank was used on a 6H4 prefix 40 HP Yamaha.

        For instance 63D-21707-10-00

        63D-21707-10-00 YAMAHA OIL TANK COMP.

The manual parts I have for this model does not show the oil injection mechanism.

Your 1994 motor match with US model 40ELRS

6H4-21707-12 is not available on boats.net but the oil tank for the 1994 50DEO/50ELRS is available as 6H4-21707-04 and I'm almost sure that will do...
(Rod and Boscoe you that for sure had a lot of these on your hands have a clue?)

The part # 6H4-21707-12 must the a recent model of 6H4-21707-04 and should work.

This part is not available on your local yamaha dealer or is much more expensive there?

I have a friend with a 50DEO which is almost the same as yours but with 50HP so I have an idea of your motor and my neighbor have a 40HMO (manual start) 40MLHS and I know the oil tank is diferent from the electric start.

          Good luck

            dudes
I see maybe 10 of these tiny motors a year.
most of what I do is 150 and up with twins or triples.
don't see much below 150 HP.
I did actually see a F2.5 about 3 yrs ago.
first and only I ever saw.
