I have looked and looked at the fish but can not find the plastic throttle roller that is attached to the carb. Where is it? Mine has a flat spot.

    Thanks

another anomaly with the Yamaha parts program.
it doesn't show up on all pages.
its the same as all the rest of the v4 and 2.6L v6 motors.
kinda like trying to find the blocking diode or the base water restrictors.

And those blocking diodes WILL stick open causing all kinds of hydralic issues inside the air filter element.

I suspect you may be taking a trip to the Yamaha shop or a call to them. Its not coming up on the parts fisch. Unless someone saved the replacement parts bag or have a receipt, That part isn't shown on-line..

They probably used that same roller on a bunch of different engines...

Tap on the link that I provided.

Scroll to the bottom of the page.

If you still can't find it do two things.

I think I see the problem. Like all Yamaha data, the link to their rigging book is screwed up so no workee.

                  Try this

Boscoe: Glad to see that you fixed your link and your glasses. HA
                    Thanks for the help.
I have a salvage yard about 20 miles from here so maybe I'll run out there and see if he a good one.

                      Rodbolt

You mentioned on an earlier post that the throttle roller did not touch the cam at idle. My book says that it should. Is this just a difference in motors or am I reading it wrong. I believe the earlier post was for a 130 hp titled "throttle roller adjustment".
