High Idle 2002 T50
When I start it, it idles fine, after running it for a few minutes, it won't idle below 1800 RPMS. A couple of times today it did idle down but for the most part it stayed around 1800 rpms

Well, had no responses but I have been looking over the outboard. I had a yamaha dealer go thru everything including removing and cleaning the carbs. What they didn't do is replace the return springs on three of the carbs. That being said when I started it, it would idle but when I ran it up and returned the throtle back to nuetral the springs did not return the carbs back to idle. The simplest things..... -
you need to disconnect linkages/ cables and find out what is binding upComment
