F150's wont engage gears

Hi

Need some help please

2012 twin F150 (F150 & FL150 / RA &LA) motors (600h on both motors) when engage or trying to engage make a rattle noise. Sometimes doesnt engage and keep the rattle noise. Is worst on the FL150 motor and more more prone to do it when engaging reverse gear on both.
Cant engage at all if moving the remotes smootly)

Ideas or sugestions to solve it please.

have you disconnected the cables at the motors to check to see if something is out of adjustment?
put controls and the motor into the neutral indent and then see if cables slip on easily.

someone may have slammed them into reverse while under way and damaged the clutch dogs and gears or bent/twisted shafts or other things
