Water pump housing on F150xb

I’m going to be doing my water pump on my 2017 F150XB first time for this motor .How often do you change the pump housing?

I have a 2005 F150TXRD. Original plastic housing still in use. Metal cup is changed with impeller. If the housing is not damaged, ie melting from running dry, no need to change.

Exactly..the housing is really not stressed or subject to wear....just overheating/melting from running it dry.....last year with my brain in neutral I ran my motor maybe 20 seconds with no water and it showed signs of melting....so I replaced the pump body and impeller($30 each)..... Great $60 lesson learned!
