1994 Yamaha 130 hp outboard front emblem

I cracked the front emblem on my motor by tilting it up too far. I see that one can replace that part with Yamaha part number 6n7-42686-00-00. How does one change out that part? It appears that it is a plastic part on the front side of the cowl. Does one pry off the broken part and replace the part with an adhesive?
