gauge retrofit yamaha OX66 225hp 2 stroke to Faria questions

OK guys I am new here and I have been searching up and down this site as well as online. I have found a few diagrams and how to connect yamaha gauges to the existing harness in the boat,

But I can not find the wire by wire description and its color. I am removing the multifunction speedo and tach from my 92 mako fishing boat that came with a 98 yamaha OX66 salt water series 225 hp outboard 2-stroke.

There is no wiring diagram that calls out the stock gauges or harness'es output by wire and color so I can retrofit the Faria gauges to the harness.

Can someone help or shed some light here.

On the Yamaha side there are three primary colours to contend with.

Yellow is for key on 12 volt power.
Black is for ground.
Green is for the tachometer signal from the motor.

A Faria tachometer might have terminals labeled as follows:

Bat for ignition - Connect to the Yam yellow wire
Gnd for ground - Connect to the Yam black wire
Sig for sender - Connect to the Yam green wire

The tachometer might have means for making a pole adjustment. For your motors set it to the 12 pole position.
