    OK that solved that mystery.
    have fun with it.
make sure you test it out once you install the buzzer

not good to expect a warning but it does not come when a problem shows up

I just reread my last post. I can see where there might be some confusion. I meant to say, I can see where the pink wire lead goes into the connection of # 20 from # 18. I do not have wire harness # 20. It ends with #18. I also do not have a OEM Yamaha tach. My boat has a Teleflex tach on it, I would like to have an OEM tach. Maybe in the future. Thank again.

Well I though he said he did not have a tach, so all of the dead ended wires have to be shoved in some where that he found

Hold on now you cannot just leave without telling us where those wires are located and where/ what the rest of that wiring harness goes to

It is item #20 that I am talking about. Wherever it is located. Inside or outside the cowling.

I thought it showed #18 coming out of the front of the motor and # 20 plugged into that

Do you see the wire harness that comes out of the motor? Item #20 in the illustration?

Were the motors an H or a R model?

What did you do with the external wiring and horn?
was the rest of the external wiring harness for a tach?

Maybe the buzzer is mounted outside of the motor. Like a tachometer would be.
