200 txrt 1995. baitwell hose broke and pump sprayed water all over batteries discharging them. and then impossible to start engine. starter works slowly, but I panicked and flooded it. what to do next time? returning home (thanks to Seatow insurance) find in manual about disconnecting yellow wire. And I have no idea how to use rope for starting. I should read it before going out, but..., you know, why read manuals if it works. Anyway, what to do in such scenario, if battery down and engine nor starts easily. what do you usually do in such situation? Appreciate your suggestion.

to manual start that motor.
contact the local zoo, borrow a gorilla.
turn the key on.
pump up the primer.
pull out the manual choke if its cold.
advance the warm up lever.
remove the flywheel cover.
wind the rope around the flywheel.
hand the other end of the rope to the borrowed gorilla.
have it head for the bow.
new, that motor came with a manual start rope.
what I do is keep my boat US insurance and carry a cell phone.
if you suspect its flooded take off the choke and open the throttles then crank it.
