T9.9GPLR WOT issue

I have this motor that will run great in neutral from idling all the way up the RPM range and will run great in gear until full throttle. Once the engine is at WOT the engine will run for a while, hesitate and die. It will usually start right back up.

At first I thought it might be a fuel issue so I replaced the gas tank and gas line with brand new products. That did not help.

So then I thought it might be a cooling issue so I replaced the t-stat and flushed out the cooling system.

That did not work, so I replaced the coil thinking that it might be weak and not working properly when the engine gets hot, but that did not help either.

I tried searching on this forum and on google for any similar cases, but I don't see any.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Motor should not die/ shutoff under any normal condition.

Have you checked to see if it is looses spark when it dies?

testing is always better than throwing parts at it

For it to run WOT and then die would suggest a fuel flow restriction, weak fuel pump, insufficient fuel tank venting, plugged fuel filter, etc.....
