  • fuel in oil in leg and coming out of the exhaust

I have a 3 yr old 60 HP 4 stroke Yamaha, I just came in from fishing and it used 3 times the amount of fuel, fuel and oil are all over the prop and bottom of the leg, when I started it you can see water and fuel coming out of the exhaust in the prop and the engine stinks like fuel. When I took the engine cover off I pulled out the rubber plug for the oil in the leg, oil squirted out of the leg and it smells like fuel.

Can someone please tell me whats going on?

I had no idea Yamaha ever used a rubber plug to hold the lube in the lower unit, are you sure about that?
All lower units I ever saw used screws with gasket/seal for drain and vent.
Is the oil level OK on motor or is it over full and dumping?

Sorry, the plug is the Oil dip stick and the engine oil is over full, it squirts out

maybe fuel pump is bad and dumping fuel into crank case,
not sure if 4 strokes can do that but it is a thought

        Injector stuck open is another

          I have seen both.
a stuck open injector can case it, but the motor will run like crap.

a bad lift pump diaphragm will cause this with no other symptoms.

a leaking VST needle valve can do it as well.
