Hello, What is the proper guage to use with my 2008/9 90HP TLR 2 stroke engine? Is the an alternative guage (for newer OB) for use with an adapter?

There are many gauges that will work with your motor. Yamaha analog, Yamaha conventional multi-function, and then there are aftermarket gauges.

Yamaha will be plug and play. Some modifications might be needed if non-Yamaha stuff is used.

What do you want? What kind of throttle/shift control box do you have? Side mount or top mount?

Thanks Bosco99, I have a side mount. The guy who did some work on my motor has a Yamaha Guage and the plugs dont match. I was wondering if it is compatible.

All of these gauges should be plug and play with a 2008/2009 Yamaha 90TLR. I have no way of knowing what gauge the fellow that did work on your motor has.
