Carb Question

I'm putting new carb kits in my '92 70hp. The question I have is ... is any type of sealant needed on the seal for the float bowl and the seal for the carb top? The old ones look like they had just a touch of something holding them in place. But, the Yamaha service manual does not mention it. My new seals have a 'roll' to them from being stored ... it would almost be easier to use a little sealer, just to help hold them in place during the insallation.

Atrick I use on atvs is to use super glue. I never had a problem except stuck fingers. Hope it helps you out.

keep mind if gas breaks down the sealer you use, it will defeat the effort of a carb rebuild/clean.
