• will not tilt from switch on outboard

I have no power going to the tilt and trim switch that is located on the outboard. [the unit operates normally from the shift and throttle lever]. I would appreicate any information you may have on this. Thanks Chris

Chris,
The two switches for the t/t are wired in parallel. Each switch is technically called "single pole - double throw".
12 volts should be going to the pole or wiper of the switch (center), and the other two contacts go to either the up or down relay coils.
Since the switch on the console works, then you probably have a bad switch on the motor. Or the wiring to that switch is bad. Look at the connections on the switch for poor contact - may
be corroded. Check to see if 12 volts is on the center contact - if not, trace it back till you find 12 volts. If there is 12 volts on center contact, then check the other two contacts when you push up/down on the switch for 12 volts.
If you want, I can email you a wiring diagram of the t/t system.
Good luck ,
