  • Mercury props question

Are modern stainless Merc props able to be used on Yamaha motors? I am waiting on model info on a stainless 17 pitch Merc prop that came from a Opti 150.

What kind of hub does it have?
and what is the spline count

When I bought my last SS prop for my C40 with the owner replaceable hub, I had to tell them what motor it was for.
they sent the wrong thrust washer, it fit but had some slack.
I called and they said they has sent the wrong thrust washer(Mercury).
they shipped me the correct one.

Merc props use an interchangeable hub system (no "built in" hub). So they can be used with pretty much any engine by getting the proper hub kit.

Oh well.....guy double checked and it is a 19 pitch. Don’t need to go in that direction.

        thanks for input.

I have no idea how much they can change them or how much it would cost.

might call a prop shop and ask if it was a very good price
