it says Gasket Maker and then says Yamabond separate. goggling Yamaha Gasket Maker comes up with Yamabond
an E-tec spe******t told me to use the anaerobic gasket maker back when i rebuilt our other power head. it has been fine for 3 years now but wasnt sure if it was actually the right thing to use or not

He was referencing the Yamabond as setting up too fast. They make an activator for 518. Haven’t heard of anyone actually using it. Stuff worked great on the fuel fittings. No tape needed.Originally posted by 99yam40 View Post
so were you using the primer/activator when you were saying it set too fast?
