Is there a test for the above. In my manual I can not find any info on this. After warm up the motor funs great but it's hard to start at first but cranks fine after running for a while. I can only believe that has something to do with the prime start.
    Thanks for any advice.

the upper fuel pump sends fuel, drawn from the upper fuel bowl, to the intake discharge based on signals(ground path) from the ECU.
this is going to be based on engine temp, tps motion and knock sensor.
the A&B solinoids can be tested and the fuel pump diaphragm can be checked.

simple setup, biggest problem we ever saw was blown pump diaphrams.

      prime start

both fuel pumps are brand new not rebuilt. Is there a possible internal check for the PS. I see that replacement is rather expensive. Like I said she runs perfect after warmed up.
      Thanks

there should be 3 pumps, two lift pumps and the upper pump is for the prime start ONLY.

I understand but I'm trying to determine if I should leave everything alone or dis the prime start and check diaphragm if possible.
Earlier you said a common problem was a blown dia in the FP. Were you referring to the PS dia. I think that maybe I did not understand.
Thanks for your time and advice.
