Shift linkage problem

The link is a diagram of hte part if needed #15.

I removed the lower unit on my 30HP outboard this afternoon. I pulled up on the "Shift cam" and it seemed to pop out of place. I now cannot get it to pop back into place and the prop is stuck in forward.

Anyone have any clues as to correcting this problem?????

Walt I sent you an email with the lower unit chapter enclosed. It's a bit of work to repair it.
