115ceto 6e5 oil tank issue

Hi Guys,
I have recently bought a used Yamaha 115hp CETO 2 stroke outboard.
On inspecting it I found that the previous owner has blocked off the supply hose from the onboard oil reservoir. Also there are two electrical connections, one on each V of the block next to the spark plug which have no connection. The two wires on each have been jumped to each other.
Can anyone enlighten me as to why these modifications have been made?
I would like to re-connect the oil reservoir but dont want to create running issues.

you need to talk to the guy that did it to find out what all he did and why.

Sounds like he was getting alarms and he by passed oil and over temp so he could sell it maybe
