    Thanks, all the wood planking, I made up, stained, etc and eventually bolted to the lift and steel extensions (very sturdy).

    I actually have an approx 6' x 10' working float I'll put underneath just to catch stuff that may drop. Its also needed for changing / re-fillling the lower unit oil (as the engine has to be down of course), so the boat is still up, I'm under it, on the float, wearing 90 weight oil...
