  • 225TLRS air/fuel setting

I really could use some advice for the needle settings. My book only gives a range. Many years ago Rodbolt gave me very specific setting saying this engine likes a richer setting. I believe I'm correct but it's been many, many years ago.
    Thanks

and that is all you need.
you cannot "adjust" the A/F ratio on that carb using just the needle.

the A/F ratio is determined by the pilot air jet and the pilot fuel jet.
the needle just allows more or less of the preset A/F ratio to bypass the throttle plate.

typically with that carb it either works at the factory setting or you need to do it again.

    1 1/4 port and 3/4 stbd.
lightly seat the needle and back it out the prescribed number of turns and it either works or something is still wrong.
