  • Any advice I'm stumped

    96 200 saltwater series carbed.
Motors run great at idle, *****ing and I'm guessing up to about 3200 rpm. Not sure due to hard to read digital gauge is going bad. Once you start to put em under load like 4500 after a few min. The overheat buzzer comes on. Right before it goes off you can feel the motors start to run rough. I've put new mech gauges an they only read 150 degrees when this happens. One motor will be bouncing 10 -15 psi the other 5 psi. I've put new water pumps thermostats an checked those poppits on lower part of block. I lowered the motors as low as I can on bracket I know that's not the problem. I don't know what else to do or check. Driving me crazy.

    check the pressure control valve.
minimum is about 11 PSI above about 1200 RPM.

may have a scale build up under the head surface as well.
