85HP CV85EL Controls Question

Hello all I am new here to the site and need some advice from whom may
have traveled down this road before.

I am buying a great running Yamaha 85HP (Mod# CV85EL - 1990 year) that is currently on a party barge. I want to move this to a small pontoonhouse boat. The control cables will not be long enough. My question is:

1) Can I keep the controls and just order new cables / wiring ??

2) If so -- were would be a place to start to find these items ?

Get them from boats.net. Up to forty feet in length for the control cables.
