  • F90TLR Oil Pressure Displayed

    Re: 2006 90hp
This motor has ~700hrs of runtime. Today when I went to go fishing I started it up and heard the audible alarm and the msg scolling on the CLink of low oil pressure. I let it run for another 10-15sec thinking the msg would go away, it didn't. I put it back on the lift, checked the oil and it was ok. I decided to restart, the msg was not displayed. I took for a short ride, not going over 18Krpm's. There was not issue.

Is this something that I should be concerned with or just an anomoly in the CLink comm? In the past this has never happened. I use the boat about 2 of 3 days in south FLA. for fishing.

    Any ideas?

From what I have read , oil pressure below or above the mapped pressure in ECU will set off the alarm( outside of what the ECU expects it to be at,
    at that motor situation)

its not uncommon to get a false alarm at start up.
once the alarm is triggered the audible will sound.
if oil pressure becomes normal the audible goes away.
the message or a blinking icon wont, unless you either manually clear it or cycle the keyswitch.
