  • Help finding a part please

I have a 2003 F115TLRB. The tilt/trim gauge does not indicate any movement. If I check the resistance at the gauge it does not change. I can not find the sensor in the prints. Can someone give me some assistance please.

Item #3 on BRACKET 2 for your make and model.

Sometimes it helps to go to the drawing you think it should be on, view the list of parts, then look at the drawing for the part number that you found on the list... Oh', there's the little bugger!

    Have a great day!
If its got teats or tires, you bound to have trouble with it....

Are you checking for a resistance change in the wiring to the gauge by trimming the motor up and down?

Before you rush out and buy a new sender check the wiring, or better still, check the sender to actually make sure that it is being moved by the motor when the motor goes up and down. Sometimes it simply gets stuck in one position. The motor moves it in one direction and a spring moves it in the opposite direction. Maybe it just needs to be cleaned and lubricated.

Here is a link to the illustration referenced.

Also check the plastic cam on tilt tube to see if cracked, number 1 in same parts page.
