How to determine what shims (thickness) to use under drive shaft housing assembly? Original shims are nowhere to be found.

The service manual will provide guidance as to how to calculate the thickness of shims to be used. You will then install the appropriate shim and then measure to make sure that clearances are correct.

Here is an example. From another model, not the P150 but the procedure will be similar.

have you carefully inspected the bearing housing?
some housings are counter sunk and the thrust washer and shims will remain in the housing on removal.

why are you shimming???????
